A self-modifying multi-agent system: three LLM agents select their own goals from environmental stress signals and synthesize new Python tools at runtime. Includes a five-layer validation gate that catches agents falsely claiming task completion, multi-agent transactions with conflict detection, checkpoint/replay, and an append-only autonomy log separating human design decisions from the agents' own.
